Merrimack Co Adult Diversion Office

The Merrimack County Diversion Center is an Alternative to Prosecuting Program that falls under the office of the Merrimack County Attorney (County Attorney Scott Murray) which has been in existence since 1992. There are numerous programs under our umbrella but each of them carry the same mission statement that is to hold eligible defendants accountable and give them the necessary tools, services and education to hopefully keep them from committing future crimes and allow them to be good law obeying citizens. We are able to accomplish this through weekly case management meetings drug and alcohol education/urinalysis testing along with community service and life skill classes. Successful defendants stay out of the criminal justice system and our jails saving thousands of dollars to taxpayers.
